Equipment we supply is built to do a defined job under defined conditions, and we stand behind it. Every vapor condenser and heat exchanger we sell is covered against defects in material and workmanship for twelve months from the date of shipment, unless a different period is stated in writing on the order acknowledgment.
If a covered defect appears within that period, contact us and we will begin by helping you establish what is actually happening. A good number of reported problems turn out to be operating conditions rather than defects — noncondensable gas blanketing the surface, condensate unable to drain freely, or a coolant temperature that has drifted from the design basis — and those are usually resolvable without any hardware changing hands. Where a genuine defect in material or workmanship is confirmed, we will repair or replace the affected equipment or component at no charge to you, with the choice between repair and replacement resting with us and the manufacturer.
This warranty covers the equipment itself. It does not extend to damage or loss of performance arising from: transit or handling damage; installation that does not follow the supplied instructions or accepted practice; operation outside the design conditions stated on the order, including pressure, temperature, flow rate or fluid composition; corrosion, erosion, scaling or fouling caused by fluids or concentrations other than those specified at the time of sale; freezing; thermal shock or cycling beyond the design basis; inadequate or absent water treatment; contaminated or improperly filtered coolant; neglected maintenance or cleaning; or accident, misuse and abuse. Modification, repair or disassembly by anyone we have not authorized will end the coverage.
Because condensing duty depends so heavily on conditions that can shift after commissioning, the process data supplied to us at the time of order forms the basis of both the design and this warranty. If the duty changes — a different vapor composition, a higher noncondensable load, a new coolant source — please tell us, so we can confirm the unit is still suitable rather than have you discover otherwise.
Consumable and wearing items such as gaskets, seals and elastomers are covered against manufacturing defect only, not against normal service life. Freight, removal, reinstallation and any associated labor or downtime are not included unless separately agreed in writing. Our liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement described above; we are not liable for consequential or incidental loss, including lost production or lost product.
Some equipment carries a manufacturer's warranty running longer than or alongside this one. Where that applies we will tell you, help you register it where registration is required, and act on your behalf with the manufacturer.
For a warranty claim, or to confirm what applies to a particular unit, please have the order or serial number to hand and contact our team on 1-805-484-2992 or by email at Sales@HeatX.com. Full terms of sale are set out on our terms and conditions page.
